Monochrome Blue

dISPITE mR bLOGGER NOT playINg NICE....!!

It is a colour challenge this week and Chrissie and Mandi have asked for...........
Monochrome: Definition:

1. in shades of one color: using or displaying only shades of one color or black and white.
You may choose any colour you wish, but please keep all the shades you use within your chosen spectrum.
So as usual I am making my card on Friday afternoon, having had no crafting time until yesterday due to visiting family who want feeding etc!  I don't know what it is about this challenge that draws me like a moth to a flame.. I'm not very good at 'white space' cards but cannot resist trying everyweek.
I used:  Cricut cardstock and cutting machine, Serif Craft artist software to re-colour the Little Claire digi image blue that I originally paper filled in Paint shop pro. ( Either me or Blogger is going mad! I could have sworn I read a blogger posting this morning that their challenge this week was 'fathers day' or cards for men but when I looked just now it was still shaped cards, this is square so won't count! must be going do lally la , unless that is what it will be tomorrow in which case hopefully this will still count????) The lettering is Hodgepodge Alphabet from here which was free for signing up for their newsletter.  Doodlebug ribbon, papermania brad.  I could like to enter the following Challenge:  Less is More ,
Papertake - anything goes
the paper variety #for-guys
Well off to cook tea for the dog (on an anti-yeast diet, I kid you not !)

Edit Saturday 20.16 : I just got the blogger entry from Little Claire in Google reader when I switched on the 'puter after a day in the garden so I WASN'T going bonkers! Someone must have done an advance post yesterday ..
Therefore I would like to enter the card as I did make it with Little Claire Challenge #9
in mind!
Edit:  I won top three yipee!

Turquoise Flowers

This is my 2nd Less is More card this week as the first one just 'wasn't right' somehow! Week 13 challenge is a theme of Thanks or Congratulations.
I used: a lovely digi from Mels stamps coloured with turquoise and cool aqua Promarkers, a compter generated sentiment made to fit SU scalloped oval punch, embossing folder, card candy, viva pearl pen for the centers of the flowers and a tiny bit of Debbie Moore glitter, papermania mini ink pad on the edges. I would also like to enter I love Promarkers #64 Song title (Thank you by Dido)
A Spoonfull of sugar challenge #150 -white-one-color (Turqouise) ,
Dream Valley -Flowers
Papertake-Anything goes

This is the other card...  it is a very small one made of a die cut shape from CraftWorks, oval nesties, dark blue card stock, card candy, glamour dust, the same image as above but coloured in Paint Shop Pro using a gradient. Computer generated sentiment. So not only have I managed to upload my entry BEFORE late friday afternoon but I have TWO!

Art Deco Birthday

I made this card for my cousin who is 40 this month, she likes Art Deco and Dogs so a good excuse to use my fav digi image, a Helen Fuller from the 1920s, I coloured it in Paint Shop Pro, the backing paper is Pink Petticoat, the sentiment was a freebie, the black glitter cardstock is Papermania, the blue is from my stash. I used Marianne dies for the flourish, nesties for the image and embossing the framse and a friskars circle punch...WHY do none of my many punches actually go together? . My new toy the Woodware trimmer was used to cut the long backing paper. I would like to enter the following challenges:

Friday card

I havn't made anything since returing from England on Sunday. Today I decided to do a card for theLess is More Challenge  Pastels
also the 2nd challenge at Little Claires 'Flowers'
I used my new X-cut border die in the wizard, a Debbie Moore digi that I re-coloured in Paint shop Pro and with pro-markers, Glamour dust, the red line sentiment. This is posted in a bit of a hurry as I am just about to go and see Kylie in concert at the Zenith in Toulouse (Tom's birthday present to us!)  does not seem 5 mins since she and Jason Donovan were getting married in Neighbours!

Edit: Merci Beaucoup!!  I would like to thank all those who are kind enough to visit my 'baby' blog and leave comments, I welcome the constructive ones too! LOL  I really appreciate anything that makes my newish card making hobby 'better' .  I do try and visit your blogs (rubbish French  internet connection allowing!) xx

Saturday challenges

Add caption

It is my long suffering Husband's birthday on 7th March and as I am going to be in England until the 6th visiting my 16yo daughter  Lydia I decided to get ahead a bit and enter some new challenges!
I am entering this card for these challenges:    Simon Says Stamp coffee-and-cream
Cards for Men recipe 1 Image, 2 Design Papers, 3 Embellishments (either 3 the same or 3 different) also the MMSC92  Midnight madness sketch challenge 92. I had a bit of 'clean and simple' thing as my husband is not into the more embellised style of card... but I think this one is a bit TOO clean and simple simple....!!
I used Papermania Hawthorn and Bramble paper & card stock, buttons from my stash, Pink Petticoat digi image coloured in Paint Shop Pro, Viva orange pen for the candle falmes and , Glossy accents on the candles and cake. Nestabilities labels 19 new this week and love it all ready!
