Less is more week 17

This week Chrissie and Mandi want us to use a receipe, squares with LOTS of white space, something I usually struggle with as I feel a need to fill the space with.... something!  I made this for my husband to give to my lovely Father-in-Law George. My husband is a classic 'less is more' man and usually thinks my cards are too 'fussy' and card making a total waste of good houseworking time but he actually signed this one ready to send LOL.
I would also like to enter: Play Date Cafe #83 Color splash is black & white with a splash of GREEN,
Pals paper arts 95-cas-elements-of-style-brads
Cards for men #11-no-paper no patterned paper.

That Is 5 challenges in all Chrissie and Mandi, I counted them this week :-)

Shadows...
As I had the nesties out anyway I had another go!  I think I prefer this one.  I also took the cards outside as the light in my craft room is SO dim that even Picassa cannot work the magic on these cards, they came out originally with plenty of YELLOW space !! The one below is a reminder that outside means shadows :-)

I used Anita's card blanks, Papermania cardstock, and  nesties, clear and fine gold heat embossing powder, the camera is SU the dragon fly Inkadinkado (stamped again, cut out and fixed using 2mm squares for a bit of dimension, pink pro-marker and pearls from my stash. Papermania embossing folder for the Happy Birthday, first time I have used it, very pleased with it as the sentiments in the set are not connected like on other folders I have. The camera card uses a Cuttlebug 7x5 polka dot embossing folder and Docrafts brads.

As well as a 2nd card for Less is More I would like to enter the dragon fly card for:Allsorts #105-things-with-wings   , I love promarkers #67 pearls,
Totally papercrafts # 68- ink and girlie

  6. Hi Donna. Fab 'white space' cards. The pearls make a great dragonfly body & perfect for our challenge this week. I wouldn't complain about shadows when taking your photo outside, LOL, - it is grey, miserable & raining a lot here! Thanks for joining us at I ♥ Promarkers & I hope you can join us next time too.

  11. These are super... I do prefer the second one, what a lovely image.
You don't actually need to use squares for your images, merely position your image/images in one of the 5 squares indicated.
Thanks so much for joining us again.

  18. Hello -- I just read your comment on the Craftwork Cards blog, and saw that you are English, living outside Toulouse. So am I! Whereabouts are you? I wonder if we live close to each other?
