Metallic

This week Chrissie and Mandi say: "It's the first Saturday of the month and so we have a colour themed challenge once more and this time it is

METALLIC

We'd like to see CLEAN & SIMPLE cards with something that has a METALLIC finish to it... ink, embossing, card, charms, actual metal... come on people let's get creative!"
We I had great fun making this (and a huge pile of rejected bits and bobs) on my Cricut using Salimah's Square Cards SVG Collection  I downloaded from Svgcuts.com . Christmas cards are my absolute favourite as I can use glitter, ribbon, more glitter, shiney stuff ..... I tried several different combinations but this one worked best as the black sentiment (no idea who makes it, please tell me if you recognise it) matched better than other colour combinations.  The glitter and gold card are from my HUGE scraps pile I have promised myself I will use up. This is the only challenge I have managed to fit in this week, but I'm an addicted Limette now, can't go cold Turkey!  I just love the way Chrissie and Mandi seem to unearth hidden designs from my brain fog and I end up (usually) with something to be quite pleased with!
I have spent most of this week making vast amounts of Tomato pasata, sauce, paste and masses of Med veg roasted and bottled.  I think I hate tomato!  Mr D is back later tonight so I better get the kitchen/bomb site under control before he gets back!
Well I'm off to the vet AGAIN soon with my poor sick colitis cat who now has a cold/sneezing and has gone down hill dramatically today so I expect he needs some more drugs. He is lying on my desk looking very unwell indeed :-(
EDIT:  Vet tested him for cat HIV as he has been bitten several times by the wild black Tom that plagues us in winter. it was  Negative so he gave him some injections and we had to take him back on Tuesday.  So he is back in the cat prison having everything in and out monitored again.

  1. This looks great Donna, how clever to mix the cutting with the embossing! The gold looks very rich, I'm so glad you had fun and managed to use up some scraps!
    Thanks so much
